Kelly Osbourne Sparks Outrage with Ozempic Remarks: ‘You Just Can’t Afford It’

Kelly Osbourne is in hot water after dropping a controversial take on why people are hating on Ozempic. You know, that drug that’s been making waves in Hollywood for its weight loss perks, even though it’s meant for managing type 2 diabetes?

Ozempic used to be all low-key for folks dealing with diabetes, but now celebs who aren’t even diabetic are jumping on the bandwagon to slim down. And let’s be real, it’s not exactly easy to get your hands on these days . . . or safe.

But then Kelly comes in with her two cents, suggesting that the hate for Ozempic is all because people can’t afford it. “The people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it.” Kelly stated, “Unfortunately, right now it’s something that is very expensive but it eventually won’t be because it works.”

Cue the eye rolls and backlash. Seems like her take isn’t sitting well with everyone. Critics started calling out Kelly for overlooking the fact that many people with diabetes are struggling to get their hands on the medication they rely on.

One Twitter user pointed out, “actually i think it’s mostly the diabetic people who can’t access their medication because everyone else is using it as get skinny quick fix but ok.”

Another added: “Rich ppl have easy access to healthy food options, personal trainers and chefs but they choose to take Ozempic that’s not meant for them and causing shortages for those who truly need them.”

Kelly claims getting a gastric sleeve was the best thing she’s ever done.

Kelly has previously been open about her changing appearance and weight loss: “I had surgery; I don’t give a f— what anyone has to say,” she declared. “I did it, I’m proud of it, they can suck s—. I did the gastric sleeve. All it does is change the shape of your stomach. I got that almost two years ago. I will never ever ever lie about it ever. It is the best thing I have ever done.”

But on a recent TikTok clip taken from the Osbourne podcast, the 39-year old defended her evolving look and shut down rumors about getting work done on her face. With her mom Sharon backing her up, she’s made it clear that she’s all natural in the face department. But Kelly also kept it real about the future, and admits she’s not totally ruling out the idea of fillers or other tweaks as she ages.

Kelly’s all about keeping it real, no filter needed.
