During a recent family vacation in Turks and Caicos, the 44-year-old Poosh founder shared some snapshots of herself enjoying a swim in the ocean on Sunday, April 7. However, it wasn’t just a typical vacation post—Kourtney cleverly resurrected a classic joke from their reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, in the caption.
In the Instagram post, Kourtney humorously wrote, “My diamond earring came off in the ocean and it’s gone,” alongside the series of images. In the first photo, she sported a bright smile as she frolicked in the ocean, dressed in a sleek black bikini.
The second picture showed Kourtney with a faux concerned expression, as if she was frantically checking her ears for a lost earring—a nod to the infamous moment from a Season 6 episode of their reality show.
In her lighthearted post, Kourtney managed to both enjoy her vacation and playfully poke fun at her sister’s memorable mishap, proving once again that the Kardashian family knows how to keep things entertaining, even while on holiday.
The joke harkens back to a particularly unforgettable moment from a Season 6 episode of KUWTK, filmed in 2010, when Kim, then 30, and her then-boyfriend Kris Humphries, 25, were vacationing with the Kardashian family in French Polynesia—a trip that quickly turned eventful.
During some playful antics, Humphries jokingly tossed Kim into the ocean, causing her to land awkwardly on the side of her head. As she emerged from the water, she suddenly realized that one of her earrings was missing, sparking a frantic search.
